Lorazepam Concentrate – Oral
This medication is used to treat anxiety. Lorazepam belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines, which act on the brain and nerves to produce a calming effect. It works by enhancing the effects of a natural chemical in the body called GABA. This drug may also be used, if directed by your doctor, to reduce alcohol withdrawal symptoms, prevent nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy, and treat insomnia.
How to Use
This medication is a high-strength concentrated liquid. Use the provided medicine dropper to measure the exact amount prescribed by your doctor. You may mix the dose with a small amount of juice, water, soda, applesauce, or pudding. Stir and consume the entire mixture immediately, without preparing a supply for future use. Take it at the same time(s) each day to ensure maximum benefit. If you suddenly stop using this medication, it may cause withdrawal symptoms. Your doctor may gradually reduce your dose to prevent these reactions. This drug may also cause addiction, so take it exactly as prescribed. Do not abruptly stop using it without consulting your doctor, as this may worsen certain conditions. If the medication stops working well, talk to your doctor about it.
